For underground ground grid - do you use 7 or 19 strand cables in the sizes #2/0 and #4/0 ???????????????????

(extra ? to meet the 100 character limit)

Both, but 19 not as much.
The 7 is good for in the ground where bends aren’t a problem. But after about 15-20 shots the cadweld
molds may start leaking around the 7 strand. They make a sealer for that BTW..

The 19 is good for where it comes out of the ground and may have some flexibility issues. A hot
mold may burn some strands off though.

For instance, use 19 for the connection to a grounding mat, or coming up and into a control house.
We may get 2000’ of 7 strand and 100’ of 19 strand for a job, and have more 19 left over for another job.

when copper spiked and thefts followed, we switched to a copper clad steel for above
ground.
