came across a foreign fork lift charger with a type "ZOSH" cord coming from the charger. So far I am having difficulty finding any information about this type of cord assembly. Is anyone out there knowledgeable about this type of cord?

Also the cord was using Red as L1 Yellow as L2 and Green as L3 with a grounded conductor as Yellow with Green stripe. (Because that is what was inside the outer jacket of insulation in the cord assembly) NEC states that a green conductor is only to be used as a equipment ground. Is anyone aware of another governing body that allows Green to be used as an Ungrounded conductor?

Please teach me and leave unsubstantiated knowledge off of this forum.

Thanks

Sorry, yes I meant EGC. it is a listed piece of equipment.
I didn't have my codebook but I beleieve that there is a section in Article 400 that allows the conductors in a flexible cord to be re-identifed.

What is the voltage ... If it is 480 volts, 3 Phase, I always put it in conduit with a disconnect cable of being locked.

So far in art. 400 all I have found has been talking about requiring factory labeling on the cords. Art. 235.212 (C)(1)(a) is where I found the re-identifying phrasing. Art. 250.119 (D) also talks about EGC's. That art. specifies green or green with yellow stripe.

Already done. but yes 480V 3 phase. Was just asking the questions because it was out of the normal from what I was used to encountering.

But want to thank everyone for the constructive feedback.

I have bought some equipment off Timu with the same wierd color code as OP listed, 230Vac nameplates. Made in Chine
