Re: Found the problem Lady

That was my first thought, too, but I don't see how duct deal would cause much of a problem in this case.

Upon closer inspection, it is my opinion that we are looking at a mouse. I can see how that would be a problem.

Is that why we put on receptacle covers? Or is there an opening in the back of the box? Was this found in Disneyland? If so, is there going to be a national day of morning?

Re: Found the problem Lady

Reminds me of a problem I was troubleshooting very recently with some parking lot lights that weren't working. It took me a couple of hours to determine which pole was the source of the problem. Then when I opened up the hand hole I saw nothing but fur! A squirrel had climbed up inside the pole, gnawed on the wires, and met his maker when the time clock turned on. It was just a small light pole with a hand hole I could barely fit my fingers in anyway, even without the squirrel. I had to pull him out with my side cutters. It was awful.

Re: Found the problem Lady

I had a re-wire on an old two story quadplex. We fished the rough and had left the site for a few weeks. Got a call to go back and do something - don't remember. But there was a strange smell coming from the house. Well, the dry wallers discovered a Rottweiler that had crawled under the house and died! So the GC's boys (from south of the border) had to pull it out.

They wrapped it in a blue tarp and GC called Animal Control, who told them to put it by the curb and they would come get it. A week or so goes by, and the Rot is still there. And Rot he does... 'cause it's like July or August... in Oklahoma.

So, I'm out there on the Trim Out, hangin' a ceiling fan, when a cop walks in and starts asking question. Who are you? What are you doing here? etc. My apprentice looks out the window, C.S.I is out snooping around the "body". Crime Tape, camera's, cops all over outside. The Ghetto Bird buzzin' over. Cop tells us to stop working and wait.

After awhile, one of the trim Carps says, "wonder if they ever looked INSIDE OF the tarp???" Nope.

C.S.I. pulls back the tarp and finds the rotten Rot. The whole lot of them was gone in just a few minutes. Animal Control came an hour or so later.

This story had nothing to do with electrical - but, I digress.

Re: Found the problem Lady

I got called out 3 times to the same house with a circuit tripping but each time I got there I couldn't find anything wrong. The last time I finally discovered there was an unsealed gap between upstairs and a downstairs bedroom. Thrust my arm in and put my hand right on top of the possum that had been chewing on the cables.
