What do you think is not allowed by code? We aren't allowed to parallel breakers, but manufacturers are.View attachment 2561753
I found this the other day, this is a brand new building, and the original EC is still running around. I thought this was disallowed by Code.
I didn't open the panel and might not have to, so i don't know what's connected. I did find it "shareable"!
See 240.8Combining 2 pole breakers to get 3 poles.
yep.Looks like there's one mfg label across the whole thing, so probably legit.
Load side conductors likely are pulling it out of alignment for whatever reason. I think this likely a bolt on breaker, not sure if they make this in a plug on type. That alone should help to some extent to keep it aligned correctly so the load side conductors must have pretty good pull going on?yep.
Notice there are no labels or printing on the 2 outside modules and the breaker rating is on the common handle.
I am more worried about the misalignment of the breakers.
No everything is Sq D.
I'll have to look Monday to state what it's connected to, i was just stunned a local Co. did this I'm sure its an over-sight.
I'd say just lighting conditions, everything else looks like Square D NQ series items.I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tan Sq-D box….thus my question. Thanks.
