I have seen 3, 20 amp bolt in FPE breakers not trip on a fault to ground. They have not been exercised in 30 years. Has anyone had problems with older FPE bolt in breakers that have not had any attention in 30+ years?

They're pretty much notorious for their unreliability. I've seen them just arc and melt rather than trip on a ground fault.

thats, why they lost their UL listing, FPE, American Electric, they are the same, that is why you can only get replacement breakers.

good luck with the welding!!!
