I looked at a job today that has an old Frank Adams Panel #AB 396142 installed in the late 60's. The bolt on breakers look just like the BA breakers in some Westinghouse panels that I work on. Does anyone know if Westinghouse took over the Frank Adams name or if these breakers are compatible. I don't think I'll have to add any new ones but I like to be prepared. Thanks

Back in the day panel boards and switchgears where made by local companies.

I bet they would, now would it be a violation?

Bob, I'm guessing that was in a supermarket or some kind of market? The "Edy's Case" on the door is kind of a clue. ;)

I believe that many "local" panel builders (like Adams and Kinney) bought interiors and breakers from Westinghouse.
