Why not just use a screwdriver, if you were inclined to test that function in the first place? Why would someone be so inclined? :-?

What will a two prong tester really test? If the receptacle is non-TR then it will go right in. If it is TR then it will go right in. If you really wanted to test to see if a receptacle is in fact a TR receptacle then the tester should have only one prong.

Hey it's free...LOL.

It can go on my shelf with the 3/8" nut that has no threads, the 1/4" Hilti bit with a 90? bend and a twist taken out [it did not break] and various other "oddities".

They should have integrated a polarity tester into the correct side. Would have made the thing a tad more useful.
