Not enough information to answer your question. For instance, do you have the manufacturers instructions, where is it going to be located in the pharmacy, etc.....

No mention of the need for a GFI, only the recommendation for a dedicated circuit. The OPs mention of a pharmacy location is misleading. This is a simple retail store and the unit is a merchandiser. I assume it will be used by the store patrons, so in that respect would you class it as a vending machine?

While a GFCI is not a bad idea IMO, freezer is not technically a vending machine by NEC definition.


422.2 Definition.
Vending Machine. Any self-service device that dispenses products or merchandise without the necessity of replenish- ing the device between each vending operation and is de- signed to require insertion of coin, paper currency, token, card, key, or receipt of payment by other means.
