Let me preface this by saying I know this is a code violation. If I have a three way fed from one circuit and the neutral to a 60W keyless stolen from another circuit on the same leg of a single phase system, would the net result be .5A "added" to the neutral of circuit # two? Or would it be much worse than that. The neutrals of circuit # 1 are not attached to circuit # two at any point. Thanks

Nope. I know the code violation...I'm curious as to the additive effect. I've already got it worked out in my pea size brain. Thanks.

Same phase or opposing? Oops, sorry, I just saw you said same leg. Seems to me that it would only add the load it's phase conductor was serving, namely .5 amps.

You increase the EMF around both set of cables, other than that the system will work, it had better I see this all the time that is Neutral current where it does not belong.

Brian is correct that there will be an increae in EMF's, however the increase would be pretty insignificant with a 60 watt bulb.

The bigger issue I see is if someone turns off the breaker on circuit #2 then lifts the neutral from the neutral buss. If that 60 watt bulb is on it will be sending current back through that neutral and becoming a potential shock hazard for the poor electrician at the panel. He would not be expecting that one, for sure.
