In open office areas that have cubicals made up of self supporting furniture partitions, I have seen designs that call for circuits from two power sources (usually a general power source and a UPS power source). Usually the partition are feed from a junction box with a whip that is furnished by the partition manufacturer that supplies pre-wired receptacles in the bottom of the partitions. Wouldn't this be considered a multiwire branch circuit? And if so, wouldn't this be a violation of section 210.4?
