fused disconnect in a suspended ceiling??

I was told this week that I could not install a fused disconnect in a suspended ceiling (t-bar). He stated that the code had changed and it have to be a knife style disconnect. The disconnect is 480, 3P, 30 amp servicing a HVAC unit. Is this correct of not. i could not find anything stating this??? thanks!

Ask him to look at 240.24 (A)(4)

Hopefully your switch is adjacent to the equipment.
