Would the installation of a fused disconnect that serves as an overcurrent protection and disconnecting means inside a unit ventilator as long as the access door only requires the use of a key be acceptable?

Referencing 440.14 Location, 240.24 Location in or on premises and definition of readily accessible.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

I believe a disconnect must be externally accessible, requiring no keys or tools.

Perhaps I don't understand "inside a unit ventilator" but if there is air flow it seems a possible violation of 300.22
