I have a 30 amp fused safety switch but I only need a 30 amp unfused safety switch. I talked to Square D already and they do not have a conversion kit to convert from the fused safety switch to just a safety switch for the model I have. I saw on Cooper Bussman's website and Ferraz Shawmut that they make dummy fuses. Can dummy fuses be used in a fused safety switch to make this just a switch? Barring the dummy fuse has correct voltage, rms values? I read a few other comments from sites that said just put in a piece of copper pipe, uhh some reason I am not thinking that is a good idea.

That's what they are for. But you are correct on the pipe. What's the UL listed current rating on a piece of pipe? (Hint, trick question).
