I have xfrm secondary feeding disconnect that is feeding trailer panel. As you all know...lol.

The disconnect needs to be fused??? And if so why?
 
There is no way to answer that question with the information provided. There are cases where nothing other than the primary protection would be required to protect both the secondary winding and the secondary conductors, but those are rare. In most cases protection for the secondary conductors will be required, and that device will also provide any required protection of the secondary winding.
The transformer protection rules are in 450.3 and the secondary conductor protection rules are in 240.21(C).
