Fuses required?

Hi guys--I don't have a code book(2008) handy so here goes

Do HID luminaries used for pedestrian lighting along a sidewalk need to be fused?:-?

They need to originate from fuses or a breaker just like any branch circuit.

Thanks Dawgs--that's what I thought and they do originate from a breaker--just could not remember if they needed fuses at the pole's handhole

Some Authorty Having Jurisdiction required inline fuses for all Hid fixtures indoors but not out doors so as long as your circuits are coming from a breaker panel your good:grin:
