Well that makes more sense. Like I said, I'm not familiar with these things. I should probably check 'em out before arguing about the terminology.

The term of Current-Limitation is different for Circuitbreakers than it is for Fuses.
A Current limiting fuse totally clears within 1/2 cycle .008 ( 1 cycle=.016sec), thus limiting the fault to a partial of what could actually be realized, had you placed a non current limiting device in the circuit. UL has unbrella rating for different Classes of fuses.
The term on current limitation for circuit breakers (UL489), has to limit the fault to 80% of it asemetric value (let through).
