Galv Steel On Coated Conduit

Can pvc coated galvanized conduit be in contact with hot dip galvanized steel? Asking because it's an outdoor application but they want it supported by hot dip galv steel. Always usually see stainless steel.

If a drawing say the steel is to be galvanized could that still be stainless steel or would that more than likely be hot dip galvanized

I'm saying that there is no incompatibility between different forms of galvanizing, which is a zinc coating.

If the specs are calling for hot dipped galvanizing, be very careful...that spec often calls for the part to be hot dipped after it is cut and/or fabricated. That can be costly.
If you want to use stainless, you would need to submit an RFI or something to CYA.
