All,
I just finished up installing a condensate pump for our furnace and part of the project was upgrading the electrical to include a GFCI receptacle
for the pump. I used an extension for the box to make more room for the pigtails so things weren't jammed up; I didn't install the original box so I went with the extension.
There's a gap between the box and the extension, is that a code issue or perhaps I can cover the gap with some butly furnace tape?
BTW - the furnace power is independent of the GFCI.
Thanks,
Lou
