In Massachusetts code says all 15 and 20 amp circuits supplying outlets or devices "in" dwelling units require afci. Would a garage qualify or is this still only GFCI. The NEC definition of dwelling unit no way describes a garage.

I think that was thier way of eliminating "similar areas" requirement. Making everything inside the house AFCI.
