Is it required to bond gas pipe fittings? (exampel) gas furnices
I don't beleive its in the code book.

Why yes, but the EGC of the circuit supplying the furnace takes care of the required bonding.

Check out 250.104(B)

I've been required to bond gas lines before. It has something to do with specific types of flexible gas line. Not really sure how it works. I like a dummy, just did what I was told, and have remained a dummy for it.

You are talking about the CSST I mentioned above. It is the corrugated stainless steel tubing---aka the yellow gas pipe.

They want it bonded because they got sued for some lightning strikes.
