Gasoline resistant Cat 6

Good afternoon,

I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience in whether gasoline resistant cat 6 is needed for gasoline Dispensers or can you just use regular cat 6? My argument to use regular cat 6 is that when each conduit enters the dispenser it is then rigid piped into said Dispenser. There isn't any wire exposed to the elements. Gasoline resistant cat 6 1,000' reel is $4,500. I know certain Dispensers have said requirements for cable/wire but I can't find anything. Wondering if this is a code requirement?
Thanks in advance!!!

Whatever you do must comply with Section 501.20 and Table 514.3(B)(1), Line 1. Essentially, UL 87 dictates wiring inside the dispenser.

NOTE: Even inside the overall dispenser enclosure, the cables are “…exposed to the [flammable] elements.” This is because threads leak; they can handle an explosion, but can't block entry.
