I have family that wants to install a hardwired fan in a gazebo with no existing power. My plan is to run schedule 80 pvc to the structure from an outside gfci receptacle. My question is where in the NEC does it specify how to bond the gazebo to the grounding conductor for a short or fault so the structure doesn’t become energized. Looking in article 250 but having a little hard time nailing it down. Thanks!

I’ll probably end up using pressure treaded wood to make a support structure to hang the fan from and pipe up to the box. So since it would be wood, I thought I might need to run a bonding jumper over to the metal part of the gazebo to bond them.

Ok. I’m a second year apprentice. Can you guys help point out in article 250 where it is referenced just for future knowledge. Thanks for the assistance
