Hello all, first post.

Is there a code reference that says that the dishwasher, disposal, garage door opener and FAU has to be on a 20 amp circuit? If so, what is it?

It is my understanding they do, but I am having a hard time finding it in the 2005 NEC.

Thanks.

No, there is not a requirement for these items to be on a 20 amp circuit.

That is interesting, about 1-2 years back we got literature at our shop saying any and all circuits that have a motor on them have to be 20 amps. Is it possible it could be in California Energy Standards?

There may be a local rule but I can't imagine it is an energy standard.:-?
