Hello,

I believe this was addressed here before,

I am looking at a duplex and owner wants to update the two (60 amp services) to 100 amp CB. The two services and MB are opposite corners of the structure. I plan on running two ground rods (one for each service) and I know that I have to bond the two together. I am not sure if split bolts are permissible to bond the two GEC's or if I have to use an irreversible clamp. I'd like to bond them together inside the basement ceiling so I don't have to dig a trench on the exterior. Can I use the neutral bar as an approved bonding method between the two panels and run the GEC out to the rod from each panel? Also I didn't forget about the water line which is copper. I should know this but rarely work on duplexes.

Thanks in advance
