It would need to remain continous, that could be a problem, and it would end up as a

parallel conductor with the EGC, and who knows what size that is ?

THe GEC would enter the raceway via a panel. The GEC will enter the panel via a pcv cable connector or cord grip connector.

If the application is 100% non-metallic this won?t apply, but any portion that is metallic causes the bonding to be required. I think it's best to stay one or the other.
