I have a Service that has a 150A Breaker Enclosure for Service Main on the outside of building and a 200A Sub Panel inside building with Main lugs only. Can I install another 150A mainbreaker kit in Subpanel to be able to use Mechanical Interlock Kit from Interlock for back feeding a 2pole 50A Breaker for Generator Inlet box per code.
Thanks

Absolutely, have done it several times, usually I can buy a whole new mb panel cheaper than the kit, and just change out the whole guts.

Yes I have Changed out the guts before as well. Just did not know if there was something in the code that kept you from Interlocking a back fed breaker down stream from Main Service Breaker.
Thank You
