I'm installing a 400 amp generac generator and transfer switch. I have parrallel pvc to generator from ATS. From meter to ATS just one 2 1/2" and the same from ATS to Panelboard.

The x-fer switch has lug for 2 grounds, I have 4 total in that switch. Does anyone know if the lug is rated for 2 grounds in each hole of the lug. I don't see and thing on the lug. Or should I just add one to take the other 2 ground wires?

Also generator has 1 ground lug but I to have 2 grounds I need to attach because of the 2 conduits.

Was hoping some of you guys have installed Generac before and could help me out.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I doubt the lugs can take two conductors per barrel. Buy some more lugs and nut and bolt them to the enclosure. Be sure to remove paint under the new lugs.

However the bigger issue as I see it is trying to stuff 400 amps trough a single 2.5" raceway.
