Generac Transfer Switch w/ Solar?

Does anyone know if a generac ATS can be used with solar instead of a generac geneerator?

From my understanding the generator provides a signal to the ATS and I was wondering if there was anyway to bypass that and have it switch over to another source that isn't necessarily a generator.

The current Generac equipment comes in 100/200amp models with PV (NO generator).
A generator may be added later, but doesn’t need one. The ATS board is powered by Ethernet cabling from the Generac inverter and has the CT(current transformers) connection. When a grid outage is sensed the transfer switch is electrified and engaged to pull power from batteries at night or panels by day. Once grid power is restored and sensed the system switches back in about 15 min.
