I'm working on a bid in NC for Buildrite Construction.com, out of Marietta, GA. Is anyone here familiar with them? I saw a former boss burned by someone from out of town who seemed great but the home office in Texas quit returning his phone calls after a few inquiries about paying the bill.

I am not trying to paint a negative picture but I heard something positive and negative about them. During a meeting with a a couple architects, one shudder when there name was brought up but they other recommended them. From what I gather they may have done not so well on a job but that was a long time ago, it seems now with new management and staff they are now doing good work.

Thanks for the info. I'm already planning to ask for a good deposit up front. If they can't do that, I can't do the job. If a customer balks at a deposit, he'll balk at the bill too.

I always ask for up front money. But I call it mobilization fees.
