I always thought critical branch of essential system in healthcare facility can serve only critical care space but I have engineering tell something different. Three questions according to NEC 2017 or NEC 2020:

A. Can critical branch of essential system in healthcare facility feed Basic care patient care space?

B. Can the critical branch of essential system in healthcare facility feed General care patient care space?

C. Can the critical care branch of essential system in healthcare facility feed Support care patient care space?

Have you checked 517.18 & 517.19. They seem to answer 1 & 2
