Generator Back Feed

I know that you have to install an interlock kit in the panel in order to "back feed" a generator into the house. Can anyone tell me the code around this, so that I can make sure that we are 100% in compliance please?

From the inlet>cable>back-fed circuit breaker. Breaker requires an interlock and Article 702 requires signs at the inlet and the disconnecting means required by 230.85.
