Will an unbonded generator cause a leg on three phase system to show no voltage to ground and 480 volts to neutral

277/480 generator, frame bonded but not neutral bar to ground bar

If the neutral is not bonded you can get all kinds of weird voltages to ground with a digital meter.

Thanks, I spent almost 2 hours looking for the problem then found unbonded issue, corrected and now it works fine, wanted to make sure i had actually found the problem

I have seen similar on an ungrounded control power transformer. Your situation would have no fault current return path to generator windings for a line to ground fault
