Do any of you use the manufactured generator cable with the control wires made in it?

It’s anywhere from $5.20-8 per ft depending on where you look.

You like it or not?
It’s #3 copper, so that’s on the line of 100 amps.
Less than 100 use 60C, more than 100 use 75C..
what if it’s exactly 100..

Then there’s the whole ambient correction, and generator sitting in the sun or running..

I use it all the time when I install generators. Saves so much time on the installs. I honestly can't think of anything negative about it

The 60 deg column for less than 100A or less only applies if the terminals aren't marked/listed with any temperature rating. They could be marked/rated for 75 deg so you could use 75 deg column for those.

When using it for residential generator take a look at 2017 336.10 (9) exception.
