Anybody seen this. Ran across the ad in Sept. issue of Electrical Advertiser. Sort of a transfer switch inserted between meter and socket. Supposed to handle up to 7.2KW.
Yes i've seen it and our local electric utility company in SW Florida is selling and installing them. They get $695.00 and it has taken a little business from us EC's
Saw it at a local electrical expo. I've talked to several local POCO's and none have any plans or interest in distributing it. That's the only rub - finding a POCO that will sell it to you.
Why not use the Square D Bus Transfer device (2 model numbers) made for a 150 /200 Amp QO or Homeline Maine Breaker Panel. Basic price $50 to $60 .See SQ D cat #QOCGK2 orHOMCGK2.
just installed a cut/hammer transfer switch today. really neat design and only $ 300.00 at the homey depot. easy install too. never seen the one on the link before.
