There is a familiar generator company that supplys a whip for connection from the transfer switch to the generator. This whip contains both power and control wiring from a class (2) transformer. Chap. 725 nec says only functionally associated equipment of a class (1) is allowed to share the same raceway with power cables. The transformer is located in the generator, and is 230/12v.and looks to be 40 or 50 watts. Any thoughts or is this manufactured whip exemp.

I believe someone posted a similar question recently. You may try searching the forum posts for that familiar generator company's name. ;)
