Generator for water well pump

I'm replacing a Zinsco panel (corroded) for my water well pump. It's on a separate meter from the house. 60A.

I would like to be able to connect a generator to run the pump if there's a long outage (3+ days).

I don't think a transfer switch is indicated, because I want to run the whole panel with the generator.

What about an interlock panel (mechanical breaker exclusion)?
Which panel would you recommend?

What about a switch between the meter and the panel, to either feed the panel from the utility meter or from the generator inlet?
Which one would you recommend?
