I have an application where I am feeding a small portable metal building with a 50 KVA generator. The building has a 480 VAC panel with main and also a small transformer that feeds a small 240/120 panel. The generator has a 480 VAC output with a lug for a ground and a lug for a neutral. If this installation is cord/plug pin and sleeve connected what are the requirements for the grounded conductor at the building and what requirements are there for grounding the building. Would I need a 5 wire pin and sleeve set up or a 4 wire pin and sleeve set up? Since the generator is the only power source is this a seperately derived system which would have to be bonded at the first disconnect. (the generator)
