At what level should the NFPA 110 required remote low fuel alarm be set and for which tank? I'm having a little trouble figuring that out on a job. We have extertior genset with a belly tank as well as a large storage tank with 96hr plus fuel storage. Should the alarm be based on the fuel level being less than 96hr? Or NFPA 99 seems to indicate this alarms when you have less than 4hr? Or are both required? Or another level? The large tank does have an alarm panel but it's not currently located with the generator remote alarm panel. The remote alarm panel is currently monitoring the belly tank. So is a alarm for the large tank required on the remote panel?
