We have a temporary 480 volt 3 phase 350 KVA Gen set with it's cables terminating in a 150 amp non fuseable switch. Is the generator considered to be inherently protected or is OCD needed? If a 150 amp fused switch was used can you bond and ground to satisfy the code using the 150 amp feeder size, or do you use the full 350kva to size the conductors? Thanks

Many temp gens have a set mounted CB. Does yours?
If not, where is the fusable switch (physically) in the electrical output distribution relative to the generator. You need to protect the feeder.

No CB with the generator just a terminal strip. Cables terminate on a 150 disconnect switch in a pump control panel. I don't think it is OCP device but I will double check it. Thanks
