What panel does everyone use for a portable generator panel install?

Does that style still meet the requirements when AFCI's are required on the circuits? If the AFCI requirement applies to utility and generator power, then I see that old type going by the wayside. Just need a simple transfer switch (interlock style or separate) on a panel that takes normal breakers.
