I have an Animal Hospital I am doing. We have a Generator going in. There is no life safety panel for the new building. If we have lighting throughout the building on emergency power with battery backup, is a life safety panel required??
No, Life Safety is only required in 517 applications, animal hospitals do not fall under that. Local building codes will still govern what EM lighting is required.
