Generator power

I have a contractor placing a remote site on generator power until utility power can be placed. My general practice is to wait until the electric utility gets there service before placing Comm so I can bond to the MGN. Does anyone know if there is a code pertaining to this or what potential hazards placing facilities to this site would be.

You are the utility at first. The code is in Art 250 mostly
The generator will be a SDS and must have a system bonding jumper and grounding electrodes, without the SBJ a line to case fault won't clear.
The system bonding jumper and grounding electrodes may or may not be required depending on the TS. When the utility power is connected if its a non SDS the system bonding jumper must be removed.
