we are installing a 200a generator receptacle on 1st floor up to roof of 4 story building. the conduit isnt a straight shot down to first floor, there is alot of twist and turns. can i turn pull boxes into j boxes? i wont be able to pull wire thru every pull box at least with out damage. i have a feeling i will have more than one J box.

Are you asking if you can make splices in the boxes? If so the answer is yes.
I would be inclined to pull all the way out and back into the box rather than splicing, but that would depend how long the pull is and how far between boxes.

whats really funny is that if i had done some more searches on here i would have found some great ideas for this problem. i just didnt look hard enough. the guys onthis forum are some of the best.
