Hello, we're developing a dispersed lodging resort high in the Rockies, which will involve extending a power line run approximately a mile to connect a string of isolated cabins. In winter and snow conditions, and particularly in the remote mountain terrain, we need to supply emergency power via generator if necessary. There will be situations where snowcats are they only vehicles capable of reaching these cabins, and maintaining electricity is critical for the heat and communications systems.

Instead of using a small generator, one per cabin, we'd like to be able to tie into the power line run somehow to service the entire line during an outage. The actual layout is rather complex, so for simplicity, let's not worry about damage to this run, assume it's a single straight run, and that the outage would be because of an issue offsite delivering it to the property. This line is yet to be constructed, so it shouldn't be too difficult if some method which is out of the ordinary is needed.

Thanks in advance for your help!
