Generator

Hello,

This is my first posting in this site.

I have a 45KW generator that can produce 156Amps for 120/208V (which is the current service) . The loads that I want to back up is as follow:
150 Amps at 208V and 56 Amps at 120v.

Obviously this generator does not has the capability to supply both loads. These loads are from 2 freezers and 4 refrigerators. It seems odd that an 45kw cannot provide power to these number of appliances is this correct?

The way I calculated the loads is by adding the face plate values (FLC). Do I missing something?

If you have 2 freezers and 4 refrigs and your load is 150 amps (208) + 56 amps (120) we must be talking about some sizable commercial units and you need to take into account that compressors of that size are going to have a sizable start-up current which may require an even larger generator.
It might be time for some engineering help or, at a minimum, a call to the generator manufacturer.
