who has the most comprehensive manual or training guide on selection,instalation,concepts,and service of small[10-600kw] generators? Motor books are good but don't cover regulation,switchgear,engines,ect.....any thoughts?

I'd like info on this too I've contacted a local CAT dealer for training and was told they had none.

the manufacturers have a continuing education class covering proper sizing of generators -- i forgot which manufacturer it was that provided the training since it was about six years ago. most of the attendees were engineers -- not really a thing the average electrician needed - but it was approved...

You might try asking your CAT dealer fo their "Application and Installation Guide". I don't see it online. It has a lot of good info in it.

Go to this page. and click on the 2nd one down. All 408 pages of it are there, it's a pretty big file if you are on dial up.
