Way too many possiblities with seeing what you are talking about. Is this existing service or prep for new? I just laid conduits in ground, for a home getting ready to go up, for CT to ATS runs and ATS to generator run. 600a service and ATS with 70kw gen. No trophs in these install plans, but we've done them. All depends on the layout.

what brand genset are you using? kind of hard without looking at your lay out. and to be honest unless you have control wiring going out to the genset a troff really isn't need, just come out of your main panel wit ha peice of greenfield or pipe into the ATS, come back out of the ATS out side to a disconnect then from the diconnect to the genset, and make sure you drive a ground rod as well and bond the case.
