Sounds like a homework assignment. Gfci and Afci functions are not the same and will not cause any problems when used together.

Thanks and I have seen that document several times before. That document states a minimum of 5 (1/2 cycles) required.

I was wondering about the 9 Tom mentioned and where it came from?
