Greeting all,

I need some information regarding to class A and Class B usage and differences usage.

Class A trips at about 6 milliamps of ground fault current. These are intended to protect people from electric shock. See section 210.8 of the National Electric Code for some required locations for Class A.

Class B trips at about 30 mA of ground fault current. It is intended for equipment protection. For example, heat traceing on pipes often requires Class B ground fault protection. See Article 427 for example.
