I really don't know but if they are quality GFCI's then I don't care. I have had very little to no trouble with Pass and Seymour GFCI's

Want be long before they start bringing the jobs back here--seeing that it's costing them an arm and a leg (gas prices) to import business.

In a perfect world that would happen, but in reality they'll just look for some place even cheaper than China to offset the increase in energy prices.
 
I can't think of one compelling reason to use anything other than a P&S GFCI. In my opinion, they're the top of the line at this moment in time.

I'm partial to P&S devices as well, although the Cooper/Eagle GFCI's aren't too bad either.

Unfortunately Leviton is the dominant brand around here, both among suppliers and end users.
 
even their coverplates are top notch, they are flexible, but maintain their shape, and have a deep enough cavity that they can still lay flat on the wall even if the box isnt perfectly flush. Leviton covers are brittle and Hubble are so flexible that thy pucker and they are shallow and hard to get to fit flush to the wall.
 
Since P&S is paying me a kickback, this is a great time to say that I highly recommend their devices, and I prefer to use them whenever possible.

Mexico - lot's of electrical products coming out of Monterey, GE and Fuji are going gang busters there

Could you ask them to make their white devices and plates with a non yellowing plastic?

I don't know what they use as a standard for "quality control" but it has gone to sh--, over the last few years. There cover plates are rough and pitted on the side that touches the wall, unless you intend on caulking them you don't get a good finish. Not to mention they crack if you so much as look at them funny. P&S used to have a strange tint to them with their ivory ones ( sort of greenish ) but they fixed that a while ago.

yeah, they were kinda greenish, I never use ivory anymore, I like light almond.

I agree about Ivory. But given the choice "White" all the way, keep it simple :grin: I seem to be getting customers that want standard receptacles and decora switches. I would rather they go all decora or all standard, but it's there house so who am I to care, as long as it's safe.

Made in China, made in Mexico. It's our own damn fault.

Bought a package of socks the other day, made in the USA.

Two dollars more than ones not made in the USA.

We still have choices. Getting fewer yes, but choices.
